Membership FAQs
How much is it?
Membership and most resources associated with SHINE membership are free to individual Scottish schools. Where large scale work is requested at Local Authority level, charges may apply to the LA. If this is the case, please contact the Network Manager, Dawn Haughton at shw-shine@glasgow.ac.uk
Are there any membership obligations?
There is no obligation to participate or contribute a certain amount each year to the network activities, allowing schools to get involved as much or as little as possible during an academic session, depending on the school’s agenda and time/staff capacity. However, as SHINE is based at the School of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Glasgow, we ask that members adhere to the ethical procedures outlined with any of our resources as they have been approved for use by the University of Glasgow’s ethics committee.
Would membership need to be renewed?
No. Membership of the SHINE network is continuous and does not require annual renewal.
What happens if my school's membership details change?
Please notify the SHINE Network Manager if there is any change to the contact details for your school so that the school community still continues to receive the newsletters, event invitations and notifications of new opportunities and resources via the appointed school SHINE Lead. You can email the SHINE Network Manager, Dawn Haughton or complete the change of membership details form.
